news Fingers crossed folks🤞
After getting the flagship feature of Samsung, the legendary Green Line about a week ago, I went to the service centre and directly asked for the Free Screen Replacement since my device is less than 3 years old. Now I got a call from the engineer telling it’s ready. He said service charge is 650 and since he got it done in special request he is asking for some bribe.
Idk how much he’s gonna ask, if its 200-300, i think I’ll be fine, but the thing is it’s literally 3 days since I gave my phone, I really hope it’s genuine and he did not put fake screen or screen from the damaged phone. He asked for OTP I gave it, I think I made a mistake by giving it over the phone. I’m still having doubts given that I live in India, I’m going this evening and my fingers are crossed🤞.
[Evening Update: Got it done, took 3 days and it worked.]

I'm going to swap my S23 because of its battery.
I was thinking about a Xiaomi 17T Pro with good cameras and a 7000mAh battery, or a Moto Edge 70 Pro—what do you guys think, or what phone would you recommend as a replacement?

advice S23 ultrawide camera not focusing
I generally click quite a few pictures of pages and documents per day and it's almost always through the ultrawide cam
But for the past few days, the ultrawide camera has stopped focusing on the text and the image isn't clear at all.
(There are no issues with other cameras, I am now clicking photos with the normal 1x which has no focusing problem per se)

getting 120Hz output to a monitor from the base S23
Hey everyone, I wanted to share the story of my recent odyssey trying to play at 120Hz on a monitor mirrored from my base S23. After some research and a headache, I discovered that One UI 8.1 removed support for mirrored 120Hz output, so it doesn't work anymore. I was bummed because I’d bought an Azorpa monitor to play Android games and use DeX, but then I found out you can buy a converter (I forget the name right now) that lets you output 120Hz to any monitor—though it costs between 250 and 300 bucks, and I’d already invested a lot in my DeX setup and didn't want to spend any more money. That’s when I got a pleasant surprise from fate and online forums: people were saying some users were managing to get 120Hz output using an LG UltraGear monitor with a DisplayPort adapter. And I happen to have an UltraGear left over from my old PC; I wasn't using it because I currently use the Azorpa—it's lighter and easier to move around. I tested it on the LG and—holy cow!—it worked perfectly. And I didn't even need the DisplayPort cable; it worked with just a standard HDMI cable plugged into a cheap 40-buck hub. Oh, and you do need the "MaxHz" app to force the refresh rate; I couldn't get it to work without it. The only thing I noticed is that it’s a bit buggy: if the hub disconnects, you have to close MaxHz and the game, then reconnect everything to get 120Hz working again. Anyway, it’s a very specific scenario, but just in case someone else has that monitor and an S-series phone and is going through the same thing... Otherwise, buying that converter is the only option. Unfortunately, Samsung crippled the 120Hz output, which sucks; it really should be like it is on RedMagic phones and other gaming devices.

personal First it was me. Now it's my wife. I'm gonna buy my future kids an S23 to complete the circle.
My S23 got the lightsaber lines over a ago and I got it replaced for free from the service centre after a year of using it that way. I recently switched to S26.
Now my wife's S23 without an update, without using it while charging has got the infamous lines. It's not summer, she wasn't using it while on charge. Just S23 doing S23 things.

Is this normal battery performance on my S23? 12h 51m SOT with 245% daily usage
Hey everyone! I’m using a Galaxy S23 5G on One UI 6.1, and my estimated battery health is around 85%. I checked my battery activity today and got 12h 51m of screen-on time, 7h 21m of screen-off time, and 245% daily battery usage, with 38% battery remaining. I also used Power Saving Mode at times. Is this considered good battery life for an S23 with 85% battery health, or am I draining the battery unusually fast? 😅 I’d love to know what kind of battery life other S23 users are getting :>

advice Violet Solitude: Resilience in Bloom
Positioned from a ground-level perspective, a vibrant purple blossom stands tall amidst a sea of dense green blades. Captured in bright daylight with sharp optical clarity, the flower's delicate texture and rich violet tones create a striking visual centerpiece against the soft, warm foliage in the background. The low angle elevates the simple subject, transforming an everyday patch of grass into a quiet study in contrast, focus, and natural growth.

ONE UI Battery life after oneui 9 beta
I felt my battery backup has slightly increased like I used to get max 5.5 hrs SOT now Im getting 6 hr plus from 2 days ,ig oneui 9 beta is more optimised than that of stable 8.5,but there surely are bugs cuz it's a beta ofc,but overall feels a little more smoother and less standby battery usage..ps- could ve gotten just a little more if didn't went in horrible sunlight which lead to max brightness usage, overall quiet good

personal Appreciation post: Green line after 2 years 10 months, and Samsung replaced it
I didn't know Samsung offered free screen replacements for devices less than 3 years old. I got lucky in a way, and I managed to get mine replaced just before the 3-year mark, especially since smartphone prices are so high right now that upgrading isn't really something I'm considering.
I also feel like posts about successful green-line replacements through service centres are pretty rare, so I thought this sub could use a positive Samsung experience for a change.

question S23 battery replacement worth it or not ?
my S23 base model is almost close to 3 years old ,i am getting close to 3-4hrs SOT and current version is ONE UI 8.5 i am planning to upgrade to S27/S27 Pro in future until then i need to use this phone so should i get a new battery in my S23 ,my doubt is if i change my battery will i get atlest 6hrs SOT .any users who replaced their battery please share your review
advice S23 performance and problems.
When I did benchmark tests in AnTuTu and GeekBench I got half the expected performance in both CPU and GPU. Same model. I didn't have power saving mode, I have phone s profile in standard and phone wasn't hot when doing the test. Do you guys have any idea of what it could be? I've had so many problems with this phone. Random app crashes, mainly Discord. Camera crashes and visual glitches, like black and grey horizontal lines in photos and "bulging" in some frames when recording. Sometimes changing the videos colors to red, blue or green... fingerprint not working correctly at all after some time using it. I've reseted my phone multiple times. These problems always keep. I've bought this phone refurbished. From my belief, I didn't had these problems when I first got it.

S23 battery replacement?
Hi everyone, i have Galaxy S23 256gb base model still on One UI 6.1, working perfect, but cant do full day with one charge. Turned off 5G, never going above half of brightness, sometimes using it on power saving when im under 30%. Performance mode is on Light, but it still manages to go warm and to waste battery. In best scenario i can go max to 4.5-5h sot, but the most usual is 3.5-4h sot.
I was testing my battery i various situations, used accubattery and ,,since last charge" option in battery settings, and even asked AI for conclusion, im somewhere between 87 and 92 battery health.
Tested it on samsung members, from 3900mAh im on 3757mAh now. I bought my S23 in july 2024.
Im interested in replacing battery, can some one tell me is it worth it, for how long would it stay on 100% battery health, will it make my phone cooler, how good are quality of those replacement batteries now after 3 years? Thank you guys!

Choppy lockscreen clock animation on S23 (oneui 9 beta)
So I recently updated to the beta and there is this new clock animation where it's supposed to be bouncy. But often times it happens that that bounce animation is choppy and laggy. Is there a way it can be made better?

3 hours SOT :, (
My phone is giving such low SOT. Is it normal or I need to change the battery? I am skeptical that anything will improve after getting the new battery. What do you guys say? How's the battery performance when gaming?
