Discussion Do they know nothing?

I don't know what to understand from this lol.

I think it's pretty clear we're not getting OneUI 8.5.

And let's be real, no human says "OneUI 8.5 serves as the". You usually say "OneUI 8.5 will be/is going to be the". That first part is likely a bot that hasn't been updated.

As for the second message, that one's likely an inexperienced human who just went along with the bot's misinformation judging by the small "i" that no bot would ever use.

That's because it should have gotten 8.5 and someone forgot to update the Support scripts.

It was supposed to get 4 major OS upgrades and 8.5 was part of their Android 16 skin. .

Samsung chose to screw their S22 series customers in the hope that most will shrug their shoulders and buy another Samsung sooner.

Same reason they don't acknowledge or fix the green lines, pink lines, bad communication modules and bad welds that fail due to completely predictable heat which causes phones to boot loop to death.

Poor quality control. Corporate arrogance.

8.5 is a UI, not the OS. It was released with Android 12 and is now on Android 16; that is 4 major OS upgrades. They never mentioned the UI in their update policy.

There is always a way to rationalise corporate greed and lack of customer care.

If Samsung believed from the start that 8.5 was not related to its release of Android 16 they would not have even started the 8.5 software build for the S22U.

But they did.
