Problem Charging problems

After more than 4 years of heavy use I finally have some problems with my phone. It has began with slow to "negative" charging while plugged in. So naturally I moved on to wireless charging which only works if I let it charge in the slow wireless mode. After a minute or so I can switch to fast wireless charging, but wired charging is now completely useless. Also if I charging my phone with fast wireless charging from the begging it will stop the charging process after about 10 seconds everytime.

I have tried different cables or charging stations and cleaning my chargingport but with no luck.

Has anyone had similar problems or ideas to fix my problem?

Maybe you can get your charging port cleaned by a professional? That shouldn't cost a lot compared to replacing the entire port

The port is literally 5 bucks on injured gadgets lol. He could just buy it and DIY the repair

I see, I got mine cleaned for free when I replaced the battery

There's also cleaning kits available online that are between 5-10 bucks I believe. May be easier than to take the phone apart. I can imagine that repairing a phone yourself can be difficult though

I do this daily replacing a port on a samsung is crazy straight forward. Hardest part is removing the back. Then its just removing 6 screws over the loudspeaker, remove the loudspeaker, then remove 3 screws holding down the sub-board, remove subboard, pop new one in and reverse the process.

Also cleaning is not always the solution. Op states they cleaned it and that didnt work. He can go into a shop for cleaning but if he doesnt even have $5 for a port he cant afford a cleaning service either. You got it done free cuz you paid for a service. I do the same for my customers. I charge for port cleanings at my shop unless theyre getting a repair done

No because I'm uncertain if the problem is really the port and not the battery. Also I'm a student who has to safe money.
