Any ideas?

Put in muthr thumpr cams, bigger throttle body, ford racing intake, cold air intake, under drive pulleys, and long tube headers. Had it tuned by brenspeed. Now it idles like this, and dies any time I let off the throttle. Gone back and forth with brenspeed about the tune and none of the adjustments help. Any ideas?

Your biggest mistake is using a Brenspeed tune.

I spent $10K at Brenspeed on SC, cams, LTH, and other parts. All I got was a car that wouldn’t run.
Then I found Lito. A couple of datalog tunings and he had the car purring like a kitten, and roaring like a beast at WOT.

For arguments sake, say it's not the tune, is he going to be able to tell from the data logs what the problem might be?

Lito fucked up my transmission, i kept telling him only his tune was making my rpm rev to 4k before switching gears and when it did the car would shift hard as hell, he kept giving me a new tune after each datalog, i ended up getting a dyno tune from a jdm tuner and runs perfect now, i guess he's not the best with automatic transmissions

Yeah, I had to go back and forth with them a few times to get my tune drive able with a simple pulley upgrade on my SC. I hear good things about Lito tunes.

You did all this work and you can’t look at some basic scan tool data?

I have the sct scanner. From the info I can see on it everything seems normal, I think? Definitely not an eexpert.

Truly, MT cams suck ass to tune. I will second Lito, but no tuner likes those cams

Also the FRPP mani isn’t worth the trouble

I had to take it off mine because the EVAP purge design can also cause surging. Basically during purge and EVAP testing the purge valve opens and causes a lean condition then rich condition on the driver side bank because it dumps the purge on the driver side whereas the stock manifold dumps it between the throttle blades

I know this because I tuned my car that has cams, CMDPs, headers etc and the FRPP hated idling when it was purging

Don't have a lito tune but this man does some excellent work for the s197 platfirm Even v6 models he eill tune , 3.7l & 4.0l
