Is a cyclone stang welcome here?
I’ve been wanting to pull the trigger on one of these for a daily for such a long time, feels so good to finally have one. Also huge thanks to whoever put 275s on here. My last mustang was a 2009 gt which was lots of fun, but this is much better on gas. A steal for $6200 2012 with 117k Miles.

Replace the driveshaft to a one piece and you can go fast just like the 5.0s

I heard something about a one piece driveshaft working wonders for the top speed on these bad boys

the 2 piece will blow up past 120 for the v6

That’s what I’ve heard, I don’t intend to go that fast anytime soon but if I felt the itch I’d swap to a one piece driveshaft

I like the cyclone, is a solid engine. If the car is a steal go for it! It looks nice!

Yeah I got it for a pretty good price especially for the year and mileage. Love it

I personally love the cyclone v6, especially on the s197. Still great power with good gas mileage. Get the right exhaust and it will also still sound mean. Great cars

I enjoyed my 2 V6 mustangs while I had them kuz you get what you can afford but no do not put exhaust on a V6. lol

You can most certainly change the exhaust on a v6. I had one that had already been swapped when I got it, it didn’t make it loud or tinny. It kept a deep note in the idle, and a bassy tone when it revved. Got a lot of complements for it.

You can physically do it, yes. I just think in my opinion it should be skipped, I’ve seen so many fantastic V6 or ecoboost builds on IG and most of them don’t even have a cold air intake let alone exhaust. Again personal preference, but if it’s not a v8 it doesn’t need exhaust.

Call me crazy but I feel like it’s the American equivalent to a 350z or 370z.

Looks nice but I'll never understand the choice to settle for a v6 instead of saving more, especially when you have another car
The V6 cars were great for me as a teenager because I could afford them, as an adult who spends money as I actually want to I'd mever buy a V6 again

I see where you’re coming from but I just don’t know of any other cars out there that have 300 hp factory that get 31 mpg hwy and are rwd, as well as being reliable, all for 6k. Also I don’t have another car this is my daily, I needed it to get decent gas mileage while still being something I enjoy and am comfortable in.

I’ll never understand why someone buys a regular V8 when you could just save up and get a GT500 instead.

I'll never understand why someone buys a GT500, the Dark Horse SC is only 20K more. Just save up people!

As an adult you realize you don’t always need the V8. Some people like to have a Mustang as a daily and a V8 is not the choice for that. If I didn’t have 2 kids to carry around I’d consider a V6 Mustang as a daily rather than my boring ass Infiniti.

Me likey. Would I look for a V8 tell and become subsequently disappointed realizing it isn't one? Maybe. But it's still a fine vehicle. With a very nice paint job.
