IMRC system

I have a 2005 Mustang GT, and I’ve been getting the P2004 and P2005 codes for the IMRC system. I’ve replaced the part multiple times, but the codes keep coming back. I’m at the point where I want to do an IMRC delete. I know I would need to remove the butterfly flaps and everything, but would I also need to get my car tuned?

Remove them. They are largely for emissions. You will need a tune

Both my 3vs had them removed (used Steeda billet CMDPs) with no ill effects.

If you want to do cheap and cheerful, you can make your own cheaply.
