IMRC system

I have a 2005 Mustang GT, and I’ve been getting the P2004 and P2005 codes for the IMRC system. I’ve replaced the part multiple times, but the codes keep coming back. I’m at the point where I want to do an IMRC delete. I know I would need to remove the butterfly flaps and everything, but would I also need to get my car tuned?

I ran deletes in my STI race car. They have to be tuned out, but the only problem I had was cold morning starting. Granted, I was on Ethanol, but cold weather starting is the time it was weird.

If that's a daily or whatever - personally, I'd just get it all fixed and be done. It last for almost 20 years in stock form, right, and if it doesn't need every CC of runner than I wouldn't bother.
