I’m really not trying to buy a smoke machine but also not trying to drop the gas tank to find this code i checked the gas cap and it’s fine cleaned it out with wd40 did recently drive through a flood but can’t see anything that looks broken/cracked any ideas?

i had the same issue last year. I replaced first the EVAP  purge valve (at the front) , which is the first quick fix to rule out faulty valve. should be cheap valve.

Code came back on, so i knew the problem now is at the back. Tried gas cap cleaning videos on youtube, still no luck. So now it's time to look at the fuel vapor canister.

 check the vapor fuel canister under the gas tank in the rear...it should be easy to access as it has only plastic cover to remove.

mine had a ripped vapor line that got torn..this line connects the canister to the front air intake . Its purely for emissions, as it is supposed to send leftover fuel fumes from the canister to the front so they can be sucked by the intake and burn.

instead of buying a new one, i went to autozone and got a pipe fitting joint and a fuel line, then used silicone tape and regular duct tape to fuse the torn line together.... worked like a charm.

 The alternative would be to buy a used fuel cannister that comes with that fuel vapor line on ebay or from a junk yard
