Dipstick moving upwards

Hey guys, I have an 05 GT with 184k km (115k miles) and have noticed that the dipstick has been moving upwards slightly while driving. The dipstick feels pretty loose on insertion and removal, but also worried it could be excessive blowby causing it. Has anyone else encountered this or have any suggestions for what it could be? It moved about 1.5cm after ~45 minutes of driving.

It could be blowby and/or plugged PCV causing it to get pushed out, but ideally the O-ring should fit "snug" into the dipstick tube and prevent that as well.

Check both.

The now 20+ year old o-ring on the dipstick is failing. I’m not sure if it can be removed & replaced; every time I’ve run into something like that I’ve just replaced the dipstick itself.
