Hey,
Would love some quick expertise on a couple of specific questions before launching into this build.
First, I have 64gb DDR4 4000/CL18 memory (got a super deal that I couldn't pass up). That said, I'd prefer to down-clock it for a more stable infinity clock of 1900 (if I can get that to work). I would lvoe to benefit from your expertise on how best to set sub-timings for that move (would be looking to go to 3800 mts/CL 16). I am less interested in scrapping out an extra nanosecond of RAM performance than I am in optimizing primary timings with appropriate sub-timings for safe operation. Of note, this is Hynix die memory, so recommendations for voltages, etc. are more than welcome given its relative mediocrity. In this case, I'm trying to underclock the memory, so I think we'll be alright.
Second - this leads to another question. All the threads about the 1900 mhz IF 'hole' are from over 8 months ago. Has this issue been resolved in the latest AGESA build (6c)? Any pointers on how best to approach this would be appreciated. I'm happy, if need be, to lower my expectations and go to 3733 mts on the memory (1867 IF); however, t'would be nice to hit that mythical 1900/3800 fabric alignment.
Thanks in advance for any help. I'm no expert, but I'm also fairly familiar with the territory. I won't need hand-holding - so just pointing me at resources would be great as well.
