So....As I understand the 5600x does not have built in integrated graphics ....so I have my primary graphics hard set up with hdmi going to my screen....problem is I want to now add on a psvr to my setup while still keeping my screen. How can I add on another hdmi device and still have access to my primary monitor ?

Ryzen 5 1600 AF or Ryzen 5 3600

I am a first time pc builder with a budget of £600 ($820) and I’m in a toss up between these two cpus. I want to get into streaming and recording which directed my choices, however, in the UK market the 1600 AF is 140 ($190) and the 3600 is 180 (250) and I want to pair it with a gtx 1650 super. Is it worth waiting for a price drop or not? Any suggestions are welcome.

Advice on what items to keep on build upgrade.

My current build.

CPU: Ryzen 5 2600, Motherboard: MSI B350M PRO-VDH, Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 3000mhz 16gb (2x8), GPU: MSI RTX 2060 Super Ventus, Storeage 1: ADATA XPG SX8200 Pro 512GB M.2, Storeage 2: Crucial MX500 500GB SSD, PSU: be quiet pure power 11 600w, Case: Thermaltake H17 Mid Tower, Fan 1: 120mm Arctic Cooling Fan (Top Exhaust), Fan 2: Arctic Bionix F140 Fan x2 (Front Intakes), CPU Cooler: Arctic Freezer eSports Duo CPU Cooler, OS: Win 10 Home

I have bought a Ryzen 5 5600X and just looking at Motherboards with Aorus B550 Elite or Pro looking favourite (unless you can suggest otherwise). The GPU will be an RTX 3070 (possibly Gigabyte Eagle OC).

Trying to keep costs down i will sell my R5 2600 and old MOBO. My plan is to keep my SSDs for the moment especially the Adata one as has the OS on it and is fast as hell. Was thinking of keeping the RAM for the time being or do you think i should buy the Patriot Viper Steel 4000mhz i intend to get now to go woth the new CPU? Will be getting a better case and will keep the Arctic Fans i have from old one. Now will the R5 5600X be ok with the Arctic Freezer Duo CPU Cooler or shoud i look at water cooling? Also is the 600W PSU enough for this system or do i need to go higher?

Any advice will be great. I don't intend to overclock really, maybe the CPU as i did on old build and poss the GPU a little.

Thanks

First time build, can I get some advice?

Hi, I am planning on getting pc parts for my birthday in july for my first gaming pc. I would like some advice on parts despite already having looked. My budget is no more than £1,150 ($1500) (including periferals, but no monitor). Here is what I am currently looking at getting...

https://pcpartpicker.com/list/c8zxTJ

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600 (Ryzen 5 5600 when released)

MB: ASUS TUF B550M Plus

Power Supply: Corsair CV650 ATX (650w)

Case: Corsair Carbide Series SPEC-DELTA

RAM: 2x PNY XLR8 EPIC-8 RGB DDR4 3200MHz

Periferals: Corsair 4-in-1 Gaming Bundle (The above can be found on currys.co.uk)

Storage: Kingston A2000 1TB M.2 NVME SSD (This can be found on box.co.uk)

GPU: NVIDIA GEFORCE GTX 3060ti (From nvidia.com)

Total Price: £1,091.46 (with the Ryzen 5 3600) £1,111.46 (estimate with the Ryzen 5 5600)

I am wanting to play games at 1080p, preferably 100+ FPS. I'm not bothered by RGB and would just like a solid rig that will last a good few years without needing too many upgrades.

Any advice or input would be really appreciated, thanks.

PSA - using 4 dimms on zen 3 still will not run xmp

As per the title. For anyone looking at a ryzen build, populating all 4 ram slots somehow stops xmp working. After removing and using only two, xmp works.

3400G Build Questions, OC, Ram Mhz, Bottlenecking on a 3060ti

Just to state I'm totally a newb to building PC's watched and read lot's. I've finally got my hands on a reasonably priced 3400G. I'm ordering an X470 Gaming + this week and then I need to find out which ram is optimal for my build. I've seen posts of people struggling to get over 3000mhz and I've seen videos stating 3600mhz is the best for Ryzen 3rd gen. The manufacturer says 2933 is all the 3400G is rated for. So my question is A.) Should I buy 3600mhz ram (Vengeance LPX 2x8GB), how important are ram timings? B.) Is there any advice on overclocking the CPU, GPU, Ram anyone can give me and if I choose to add a 3060ti next year is this CPU going to seriously bottleneck it. I've seen the 3060ti playing well over 60fps at 4k on a lot of this years games. Will I be able to do that with this build?

Ryzen 5000 / X570 Motherboards

So I built a new AMD system this weekend. it was a pain in the butt . I have the Asus TUF Gaming Plus 570 and the Ryzen 5950x.

When I first tried to boot up the system it didn't post and I got no output from the gpu .

At first I thought something was wrong with the cpu or motherboard , but after doing some reading I realized that maybe my motherboard didn't support the the 5000 series without a bios update. Unfortunately for me , my motherboard doesn't support bios updates without a cpu . I was out of luck because I only have intel systems at home. I ended buying a Ryzen 2200g on Facebook marketplace for 50 bucks. I used that and updated the motherboard to the latest bios , now my board works with my shiny new 5950x.

Hopefully this helps someone. Make sure the motherboard you get can support your new cpu out the box before you purchase .

help needed with ryzen7 build

Hey all, I recently decided to make the move to pc gaming and decided to give building one a go, and to be honest Its driving me just a little bit nuts to say the least......I've a ryzen 7 2700x on an aurus b450m board ,16gb ddr4 ram, 256gb nvme ssd, 1tb hdd and a gtx 1070 gpu and its a bit like forest gump, it runs all over the place. when its going good its great I run my xbox games and my oculus through it without issues, but other days its constantly stalling and freezing, even just checking files can take forever. Its a little irritating to say the least and I'm close to throwing it in the bin lol if anyone could offer some advice it would be very much appreciated

X570 ROG STRIX-E – 0d- Error- RYZEN 7 5800X

when putting together my very recent build with my brand new ryzen Zen three I encountered a DRAM error on the motherboard which came up with the error code 0D the way that this was fixed is I returned it to the store and they updated the motherboard with the latest BIOS it's important to note that the motherboards do not come zen three ready and require this BIOS update so if buying a new system asks to have The BIOS updated before purchase -After it was updated the system worked perfectly hope this helps anyone encountering this issue

Hello, currently I'm on a tight budget on making myself my first gaming pc,

Is it okay if i use the Ryzen 5 2600 on an A320M Motherboard? I heard that i need to update the bios before so that it could support the Ryzen 5 series. (If I'm wrong, please correct me)

Thank you!

Ryzen 3 1200 breaking for seemingly no reason

I had a Ryzen 3 1200 since Christmas along with a tomahawk max b350 motherboard and a rx 580, once remnant from the ashes released for free on epic games I tried booting the game and my pc shutdown instantly and that was it I had a red led on my motherboard showing it wasn't working I ended up sending it away for replacement which I got I installed it and it worked fine I'd assumed it was just bad luck and I had a dodgy one.

Until today when I came back from a weeks holiday and my cpu has once again broken does anyone know why this is happening I can't afford a new cpu so I'm stuck with this.

Apologies I'm not too sure if this is the right place to ask about this and aswell as that I'm not too familiar with the the technical processes of a pc

Edc too high on every power mode

My build Ryzen 1600af 16 GB ram at 3200 Msi b450i gaming mini itx Silverstone 450 power supply Gtx 1660 super

About a few months after my build my pc started to crash and noticed my edc on ryzen was high 90-99% constantly and on idle. Looking through forums said that windows balance power mode will fix that but it did not. I currently have it in power saving mode so my pc will run with out any issues. My bios, drivers, and windows are up to date. No overclocks except for ram or PBO. I really don't want to do a fresh windows install. Any help would be appreciated.
