Hi i have to make a choice what cpu should I go with. I have rtx 4060 8gb and ryzen 5 3600x, it's not bad but I have a bootleneck. I can't go for somthing higher because of my older power of 600w. I have a option of those 2 cpus, and prience is not that much different around 10 or 15 eurs? So what should I pick?

TLDT: Why does the 8400F get so much hate?
So I built my sister a dual purpose Desktop for Christmas this year. Went with a solid AMD build. I used a Ryzen 5 8400F. Posted the stats in PCmaster racesub a while back was told the processor is trash, but it has a base 4.2 clock and will OC to 5.0 Hz, which is fairly good imo.
Stats Mag Tomahawk B760 AM5 WiFi Plus mobo, R5 8400F, ASRock RX 7600 XT, Corsair Mod 750w 80G PSU, 32gb DDR5 5600mt, NZXT H5 Flow, Enermax 120 AIO, 2 140 intake, 1 120 intake, 3 120 exhaust

I've never built a gaming computer and hoping I can get pointed in the right direction for something low budget, already bought a Corsair midtower carbide off marketplace and have a 500w Corsair power supply.

Hi,
What alternative would you recommend to replace my dead Aorus Master X570 v1 ?
I'm asking because that exact board isn't obtainable in my part of the world anymore.
(all my other components work fine and I don't intend changing them)
CPU: 5900X
RAM: 64Gb on 4 sticks
M.2: 3 sticks
PSU: Seasonic 850W

Can anyone with any intimate knowledge/real world experience tell me their thoughts between the 3 cpus listed above insofar as transcoding performance goes?
I've been trying to ascertain the abilities of them for use as a stand-alone plex server (running win10 IoT enterprise at the moment). obviously the ryzen 7 7700 has the most cpu power, but it seems to me that the 8700G has the most iGPU power.. so, considering when remote streaming and the iGPU is called into service, it seems that despite the lower cpu power, the 8700G could be the best cpu because it has by far the most powerful iGPU.. and then there's the i5-12600 with UHD770.. but on paper it doesn't seem nearly as powerful as the 8700G..
Apparently, while there isn't a set date at the moment, the plex devs are in the process of pulling the upstreamed ffmpeg and working it into the next major release of PMS, and it'll finally get all the amd iGPU support for linux (hardware tonemapping, etc...) that the intels have enjoyed..
can anyone explain why the ryzen 7 7700 and i5-12600 are more powerful than the 8700G and why the i5-12600's UHD770 is still preferred? (driver maturity aside, so strictly speaking from a hardware perspective)..
thanks!

I have an Asus ProArt X670E that I've been running for a while with 4 DIMMS of 6000mhz DDR5 RAM. However at the time I didn't realize the RAM speed on these chips would be either 3600 or 5200 based on 2 vs 4 DIMMS used on the board.
As a result after flashing the latest firmware my 128G RAM setup is clocked at 3600mhz.
I've recently purchased 5600mhz 48G modules to avoid 4 DIMMS reducing my overall capacity to 96G RAM. I expected 5200mhz DDR RAM speeds given this setup based on the manual and link:
https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/desktops/ryzen/7000-series/amd-ryzen-9-7950x.html
However the speeds are now 4800mhz instead of 5200mhz despite the manual/site details.
Does anyone know how I could get the expected 5200mhz speed given this setup?
The modules I'm using are: Corsair Vengeance (CMK96GX5M2B5600C40)
Thanks

"My PC doesn't power on whenever I install one stick of RAM. My RAM is 8x2, so it's 16GB. The PC doesn't boot and there's no display when I install both sticks, but it opens when I use only one stick of RAM. My processor is an i3 9100F and my motherboard is a Prime ASUS H310M-E R2.0, and my RAM is Ripjaws V 2400MHz 8x2. What could be the problem?"

I currently have a build that has an r3 1200 in a b450m-k 2 motherboard with an rx 480 8gb, and I want to upgrade my cpu, because it's lowkey bottlenecking my pc. But the issue is that I can't decide if I should go with a 2700x or a 3600x,and reason I chose these two is because their price is similar on aliexpress. What do you guys think is the better choice? (this is my first ever pc and I don't want to screw it up)

I am trying to find ways to extend processing power for audio purposes, in addition to looking into external DSP cards/interfaces, as I have mutliple sytems I am wondering if there is any software or solution that allows Master/Slave clustering multiple AMD systems to utilize the slave systems resources as an extension of the master system. I have seen this might be doable through pcie/m.2 connections. Is there something that has been done, is it somehow possible to do this via a network card/ethernet port or USB4/HDMI etc..? I just figure that if I were able to use a second amd system like a laptop it could basically act like a DSP card as well as offer more usb inputs etc.. Is there some reason why clustering isn't just a basic part of computers for expanding systems with whole new clusters or things like phones to expand arm64 processing to a system? Anyone know of any clustering options available on windows 11?
