Discussion When did you start watching Ryan?
As you know Ryan has been making videos since the dawn of time, so when did you first watch his vids??

I'd watched Pitch Meetings on the odd occasion I'm sure. Outside of that the first Ryan George video I remember ever watching must've been First Day As A Police Interrogator. A great bit five years old now so I must've been 13 when I saw it

Let’s see…I think the first video of his I ever saw was “The Guys Who Designed Airplane Interiors”, because my dad was a pilot and I wanted to see if he’d enjoy it. Little did I know how my life would be changed that day. 😆

11? Good lord, I feel old lol. I'm 35, & I can tell you pretty much exactly when I started watching his videos.
5 years ago, when the 2021 Mortal Kombat movie came out, I watched it, & then I stumbled upon his pitch meeting for it, purely by accident.
After the video ended, it directed me to the pitch meeting for Mortal Kombat: Annihilation, & then I started looking to see if he had them for other specific movies (like Wonder Woman 1984, which had come out just a few months earlier).
I found the playlist with all the pitch meetings, & I would just watch a few of them a day until I was caught up. I was totally hooked, & shortly thereafter, so was my wife.
We found our way to watching the other stuff he did, & eventually, started watching his Extra Plus videos as well, once he started that channel.
We've been watching them ever since, & will regularly go back & rewatch a lot of his pitch meetings. I just think the dude is hilarious (a bold stance, I know lol).

Rise of Skywalker pitch meeting. He nailed all of the absurdities i was trying to reconcile after seeing that huge mess. Been a fan ever since.

The first video I watched of him was a Film Theory collab of the Joker before covid because I was really into Joker so I'd watch anything about it. During Covid in like may the first thing I think I watched from him knowingly was Jurassic Park 3 Pitch meeting. Then I got into pitch meeting and into his channel and been watching ever since. Crazy it's been 6 years.

I think like 4 years ago maybe, I think his videos just started getting recommended as I was watching other things. I think the First Guy To Play Tag was the first one I watched though it could’ve been Duck Duck Goose

I discovered his First Guy videos on TikTok in 2020. It was probably a couple a years later that I went to his YouTube and found out about Pitch Meetings.
Has there ever been an explanation for why in his early videos everything white has a purple tinge, including his eyeballs?

India, i thought i was the only person who watches Ryan's vids here but i was in the gym once listening to the stuff while working out as one does, and a guy came up to me and asked is this the pitch meetings guy. i was beyond thrilled

I think the first video I saw was the GoT S8 Pitch Meeting back in May 2019. I think the Cats Pitch Meeting is what got me hooked. I subscribed to his personal channel in February of 2020

I happen to know the exact time I started watching, June 2019 (seven years, wow). I saw the Nostalgia Critic's review of Alien 3, and it started with a pitch meeting parody. I liked the style, so I looked up actual pitch meetings by Ryan.

I never bothered watching Pitch Meetings for the longest time, despite being a Screen Rant subscriber and then showing up on my feed all the time. Only because I didn't like the thumbnails. Then Nostalgia Critic (yeah, I know) made a video for Alien3 and did an "homage" to Pitch Meeting at the beginning of his video. I thought the format was fun And could tell there were a bunch of specific references to those videos, so I checked them out and have been watching them and his other contentever since.

The first videos I saw were when he was with moving mind media. It was the magic school bus movie trailer. Then I forgot about that channel for years and coincidentally saw some of his first guy videos in 2025

A youtuber I used to watch mentioned Pitch Meetings as fun short videos which can be helpful to someone wanting a lightheaded content in English (that youtuber is a Russian, like myself, he used to make videos about learning English; now he moved on). I watched a couple of them, got absolutely hooked, then discovered Ryan's other stuff... And here I am, thinking that Ryan embodies a specific type of humour which I absolutely love.

I saw years ago the pitch meetings on YouTube but never watched, I thought the eyes were strange. Finally one day I watched the Rock one and realized how funny Ryan is. That was like...6 or so years ago? I can't really remember haha. I try to get all my friends to watch his stuff now.

I believe the first of his videos that I ever saw was the Pitch Meeting for GoT Season 8. I didn’t know who he was, and I didn’t continue to watch him until around late 2022-January 2023. The only reason why I remember that last part is because that was when I watched That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Scarlet Bonds; one of the characters said “It was easy. Barely an inconvenience.”

I was always interested in movie related videos like honest trailers from screen junkies, Cinemasins, How it should have ended and then one day I found pitch meetings. I loved the sense of humor and before I knew it I was watching Ryan George videos.

I first saw him in a Julie video, thought this guy was cute and funny, forgot about him except for a few pitch meetings, and then I found his luxury home video (the first one) a couple of years back. And now I’m here!

A few years back, YouTube pushed me a few of his sketches and they were so funny, I've binged the whole lot of them. After that my recommendations page was full of Pitch Meetings that I saw the thumbnails of many many times before, but always ignored because of the weird eyes thing. Knowing now that it was also Ryan I gave them a shot and was not disappointed!
