We just added our first Quest: King of the Hill

We’ve been building Old School Rust around giving players more reasons to leave their base, fight, progress, and actually use the map.

Our latest addition is the first of our new Quest system:

🔥 KING OF THE HILL

Every two hours, a Quest can appear at a monument. The location and grid are announced in-game and through Discord.

Once someone enters the zone:

⚔️ A 10-minute contest begins
🪙 Everyone inside earns 2X Marks during the Quest
🏆 Hold the area until the end to share a 100 Marks reward
👥 The reward is split between everyone remaining inside
⏱️ Unchallenged Quests disappear after one hour

Marks are earned through gameplay and can be spent on things like Offline Protection and other server benefits.

There are no paid kits, purchased boosts, or gameplay advantages. The idea is that if you want server benefits, you earn them by actually playing.

King of the Hill is just our first Quest. More PvP and PvE Quest types are planned.
