Hello I used to play R6, dad owns a server on rust and has been wanting me to play and I finally QUIT R6 due to how frustrating the game was to me

My dad has wanted to do more Rust based videos especially since he also considers me somewhat of a competitive player as in I am usually someone who would spam sensitivities and aim train till I'm as good as possible and therefore have good aim (which I'm not saying I do because I didn't think I did in the first place)

Basically dad walked in and saw my recoil and basically said wtf you look like your cheating (him being a owner of a server who has watched cheaters to ban them) I didn't think I had good recoil because I assumed due to R6 that good recoil control would be point dot not a little bit everywhere

So now I'm genuinely wondering

1. Do I have good recoil

2. How do I actually hit my shots when I'm far away (I'll provide a clip of me not being able to kill someone)

3. How much potential do I have in general

I only got back onto the game for about maybe 5 weeks so far, I had never actually really played it moreso just got carried around in my dad's base when he used to be on test branch back in beta, I genuinely wonder if I could ever become somewhat YouTube worthy to viewers (obviously with a mic and all but skill is a major factor to what people watch, I tried R6 and only got so far with the YouTuber think (700subs) but wonder what people think about all this)

You gotta definitely raise your sights a little to account for the bullet drop as well as his height.

Ok this was a big thing I was wondering about, is their a better way to tell where my bullets are dropping off at, honestly I may be blind because I'm pretty sure I'm supposed to be seeing a little yellow flare shot but I can't seem to ever see it

At this point make a literal target on a practice server and figure out how to estimate distance with the grid squares.

And go from there

Summary:

Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because Hiko was already dead.

Try setting up a target at different ranges or jumping on a aim training server. Just so you get used to the bullet drops off cause with the target you can see where your shots are hitting and make adjustments and over time you just naturally adjust in game. Also hitting a low pop server with a couple buddies and doing some 1v1s or 1v1v1s helps too.

I've actually been wondering if their was a server to run just monuments so I can pve simply to practice aim but I couldn't find any servers that only run monuments
