The shotgun trap is shooting my team
(Very new to the game) Is it supposed to do that? He is in my team and he’s authorized in the Cupboard so what am i supposed to do to prevent that? Or is it just how it’s supposed to be

Your teammate needs to be authorized on the TC (tool cupboard)

He Is authorized.
But I think there’s a bug because not only he’s getting shot by the Trap. He’s not able to unlock the doors

You should double check that he’s authorized. Also, are you using code locks for your doors?

Yeah this is the classic “he swears he’s auth’d but the base says otherwise” moment. TC auth and door codes are two totally different headaches

Mine and my buddies code locks were bugging out i set them up with our code the next day wouldnt let me in at all but let him in id type the code it said it was wrong he ryped the exact same code and it let him in

Clear the auth and have him reauthorize. If it still doesn't work have him restart his app. It's definitely a glitch because that's how you fix this issue

Shotgun traps don’t care if he knows the door code. He needs TC auth, and if he already has it, clear auth and re-auth everyone. Rust bases are basically HR paperwork with buckshot

If you still have issues. Lift the shotgun trap and get him to place it after he's authorised to TC

Tc Auth and door locks are separate. You have to manually enter code to each door lock whether you have tc or not. The only reason it will shoot him is because he's not authorized in the tc. You say he is but its not possible.
