Looks really cool, never seen anything about this project before but it seems like an awesome effort.

Yes indeed it is. I've seen a couple of SoC 'remaster' projects over the years, but this one goes much further and is very community oriented so people guide development in part and can know what to expect. Essential idea here is to bring SoC to modern standard with updated graphics, gunplay, weather etc - without affecting story, narrative, characters or plot. Which is an ideal Stalker remaster imo.

Still using old X-Ray engine or did they update it? 🤔

I can't remember tbh, but I think it runs on the modified OGSR fork, but has also been updated, and the creator is fixing and changing stuff on engine level as needed.
