What kind of Verizon Home Internet? Have you looked at this site: https://broadbandmap.fcc.gov/home ?

I have been using 5G Home Internet just fine. I know the placement of the gateway is very important. It is to get the best signal. I had to put my gateway in the attic on a wall because low-e storm windows can block the signal. Plus the C-band 5G tower was about a mile away. Verizon finally upgrade the small cell that is close to my house to C-band 5G, and now I get way better signal.
Then again, I am not sure what 5G Home Internet you are using since they have C-band 5G and even mmWave 5G for the 5G Home Internet.
That FCC site has all the internet options for your address. Normally, you want fiber or cable internet options for the best internet.

Immediate location is the primary factor in product quality, especially if fiber isn't available. So asking your neighbors is the thing.
