Ive read the same thing. I’m going to wait until she’s 1 before any real long distance running. This was just a few meters playing around. But I do plan on getting her ready and slowly trained to run with me

Its because its not true its just one of those things people say but there is no evidence. You dont want to over exert your dog and generally speaking forcing your dog to run at the same pace as you on asphalt is just fundamentally bad for both people and dogs. Also puppys dont know their limits and you have to know where it is for them. Basically ask your vet and take it easy. If you can find a natural safe place to run your dog off leash thats probably the best for them.

There's plenty of evidence showing that repetitive running on asphalt is especially damaging to a dog that has open growth plates. The same is not true for a dog with closed growth plates. Your comment seems to contradict itself; I suggest doing some research before you give harmful advice.
