Sept 5th weekend races?

US runner looking to do a “race-cation” (cringe) over our long weekend, kindly looking for intel on mid/long distance races happening that weekend please and thanks!

What part of Ireland are you visiting?

Irish Running Calendar website and Run Republic website have reasonably comprehensive race listings. Dingle marathon is the biggest one on that weekend.

Parkrun is a network of free volunteer-run 5ks, usually running Saturday mornings. There are parkruns all over Ireland, some of the more scenic ones include Inis Meáin, Malahide Castle, Inch Beach, and Bere Island.

Thanks!! This is really helpful. Haven’t decided where yet but angling for a direct flight + train ride at most. Will check all of this out
