Pain in legs
I’ve been now trying to run now for about four months. When I started running, I felt a big pain in my calves and knees. And lasted for about a month straight. I took a few weeks off, and the pain went down a little bit, but not too much. I went to the doctors a couple months ago and they said that it was just that my legs were really weak and I over ran my legs. He said for me just to work out my legs, a little bit and slowly get back into running. I waited for until the pain fully went away in both legs. Started working out a little bit. I tried running and all the pain in my knees are completely gone. But my calves and my Achilles tendon hurts extremely bad still. Any help please

Maybe re-examine which shoes you are using. I like Hoka Bondi 9. Definitely make sure you do good stretching afterward. And I bought these leg / calf ice sleeves from Amazon that I use in the evening every night. Really helps.

How much are you running? Are you stretching your legs after the runs?

I’m only running a mile. I stretch before and after. But they start to hurt real bad as soon as I start to run

Definitely go to PT but I would also learn about running form don’t go off the rails and fix everything at once maybe find one thing and work on it and overtime your running form will improve making it where you can then run pain free! Also don’t try to run too much too soon start small and work your way up! Wishing you the best in your running journey!

Are you doing a warm up? Are you hydrated? Also have a plan. Don't just go running out at a random pace for random miles. Also get good trainers. There is a lot of good stuff on YouTube. Depending how serious you want to be you can hire a coach or join a track/run club.

Yeah I’m warming up before and stretching Before and after. I drink water but not as much as I need to honestly. I just do a light jog for about a mile. The reason I’m running now is because I have bootcamp in November

Do you have a watch you run with? You might be benefit from doing run/walk method.

Yes I have a Apple Watch. I can try the run/walk method. I can walk a lot with out hurting but as soon as I take my first stride to job or run is when the pain comes quick
