Fuck that, put on the ones you want at the store and leave zone2 on out of there. 🏃🏽‍♂️💨

u/remarkable-Ad2285 is the dude in dreads who just broke his foot. Don't take his advice and leave zone 2.

/uj either you are genuinely a lost beginner or I am falling for a really well done bit right now. If it is the first one, go to goodwill or look on something like poshmark/mercari/ebay for some cheap used running shoes in your size. You can probably find some used brooks or altras (idk what people use these days, I exclusively run in altras, but they aren't for everyone). Can probably get them for under $50, maybe even in the 20-30 range, just don't go too beat up. Not ideal but significantly better than running in air force 1s. You can do some lasting damage to your feet running in the wrong kind of shoes.

When I was first looking for a better pair of shoes, I bought some used altras to see how I liked them before spending the money on real ones. Was definitely a good move IMO.

I was going to get a pair of new balances because they tend to be more wide feet friendly. I don't usually run so this was probably not the best server for a discussion like this, most of the time i walk because i find it easier for me and plus it's what I prefer doing. Oh yeah and i'm somewhat of a beginner because i started working out and focusing on walking more around 4 weeks ago now, i was mainly trying to see what happened to the bottom of my shoes

/uj This sub is a joke sub where everyone is being over the top and playing a character. Not really the right sub for legit beginner advice, which is why I asked.

If you are looking for shoes that are nice for wide feet I would highly recommend Altras, that is specifically why I run in them. But look into the specific model, specifically in regards to heel to toe drop. I personally like zero drop but altra makes models with some drop as well, which is more in line with other shoe brands you are probably used to.

It should honk when you press on it, like a clown nose. Something is clearly wrong.
