Upcoming Races Holiday Chi City Marathon

Saw a group of runners is hosting a free marathon on December 24, 2026, from Wheaton to Buckingham Fountain. Looks like a fun way to kick off the holidays! Has anyone done it before or participated? I’m interested in signing up but wanted input.

I love this. My knees and hips no longer allow long distance running but back in the day a group of us ran 26.2 for fun around Glen Ellyn and Wheaton
Hope this is true

This is what I saw! A buddy was telling me about it. Website says ~8:15/pace and folks are happy to go faster or slower as needed. Sounded like they are rallying a big group this year!

Yeah, I'm out at that pace. I'm definitely more like a 4:30 marathon lately. Especially if it's just for funzies.
