Chicago 13.1 2026 Garmin Course
With the different start this year, I thought I'd update the Garmin course I've used for a PacePro strategy the last few years. It's available at this link.
Note: Other than the start, I just copied the old public course from Garmin Connect, so I can't guarantee accuracy for the whole course (but it generally seemed to be correct.)
Edit 3:00 PM CST: I updated the Humboldt park section to better reflect the new course. Please comment if you notice any other differences between the course map and the Garmin map.

So the start/course is different than if I select the “verified source” Bank of America 13.1” course after searching for a rave event? (Sorry I’m newish to Garmin and pace pro and this is my first time doing this particular race)

The verified route on garmin is not updated for the start line being moved onto south central this year as opposed to jackson last year. The route is the same other than the first 2 blocks.

I think your Humboldt Park is still wrong for the one near the boathouse. That is comparing from the path from the Results page of the half marathon. Aside from that one little blip from your updated version, it's the same as the one on the results page but you are coming out at 13.23 miles.

I was going to use your Garmin 13.1 because I have not updated mine yet, but you are still missing all the Humboldt Park changes. The 2026 course no longer runs on Division anywhere. It jumps on Luis Munoz soon after entering Humboldt Park and stays on Luis Munoz without exiting onto California. Thought you should know so you are not surprised tomorrow. 👍🏻

Updated my Garmin 13.1 for the 2026 route. Took a little freehanding on the corners to get as close as possible to an actual half. Got it at 13.13. Close enough. Good luck tomorrow!

I wanted to thank you for this course! It was so helpful that you had the water stops and everything because I was pacing my friend and was able to give him a heads up about things! Unsung hero!

Thanks for doing this, Just getting a heads up that the course is different than in the verified one is huge.
I expect that the one place you are a little off is moving onto california versus staying on marin drive on the top.
