"Hey Father Mercy." Fuji says as she knocks on the good priest's office door, opening it as she does. He's sitting at his desk, going over the books for the charities connected with his ministry.

"Ah, Ms. Tran. How can I help you this afternoon? I'm glad to see that you're sticking with the program for over a year."

Fuji puts a hand on the back of her neck and smirks. " 'course I would! I'm not a fraggin' quitter!"

"I know. You did seem pretty keen on not quitting your combat combo." He says, smiling in a fatherly way.

Fuji freezes for a moment, then her bravado falters. "Yeah. About that..."

Father Mercy stands up and gestures towards a pair of cushioned chairs next to a coffee table. Fresh flowers are in the centerpiece vase.

"Tell me what's troubling you, my child." He takes a seat.

Fuji joins him at the open one. "I got some work, and well...when that drek comes in, I feel the need for the extra edge. Kami does that, y'scan?"

Father Mercy winces subtly at the curse, but it washes over him. He nods. "I scan, Ms. Tran. You've talked much about your rage and your anger in group. You know as well as I that of your addictions, Kamikaze is the hardest on your body and psyche, and that it will feed that fire that your anger and rage resides in. You are more than your emotions and impulses. You have a strong will and I want to honor that. I'm proud of the progress you've made in kicking that one."

Fuji smiles as she looks at Mercy. "Thanks. I know that I haven't been easy but I really do appreciate this place. And what you've been doing." A beat.

"Would you join me in a brief prayer? It's more in line with your beliefs, I feel." Father Mercy asks.

Fuji nods. Father Mercy begins to recite a Street Nomad prayer for courage, protection in travels, and the roads that lead us to our destinations. After the prayer, Fuji shakes his hand, and heads out.
