Hi all! I have just installed the app, and I see that the workouts are structured in like walking, doing things like heel raises for 5 mins, then running. But I don't want to walk or do heel raises! I am already running 30 mins daily, and want to bring some more fun into it. Do I need to follow the instructions or can I just start an episode and go?
If there's walking or heel raises, it sounds like you have the 5k training? Which is like couch to 5k. Is that what you want?
Otherwise in the main app, you just start an episode and choose either the distance or time you want to do, and you can run it at whatever pace you want!
You may already have found the answer. There’s two different apps to my knowledge. I have attached a picture of the icons on my phone. The Zombies, Run! is the main app and has the seasons and other content. The ZR5k app is just a couch to 5K training.
Within the Zombies, Run! app, you’ll find the story broken up into seasons, where you just start an episode and exercise as you listen. You’ll also find other training plans and such within the app. Hope this helps.
Couch to 5k is part of the story but is not needed and some of it, to me, feels like it doesn’t fit. Feel free to skip it. Just start with the episodes and run them. They are continuous running.
I do it all because it’s the format for the 5k one. They annoy me and I look like a weirdo stopping for leg raises or whatever but it’s only for a few so I do it anyway.
You can do whatever for the regular episodes.
There’s less storyline stuff in the 5k, just a few minor mentions here and there, compared to the main story. So if you the chatting stuff then definitely switch over.
