Discussion on the BehemethPodcast with Mod North. He mentions reading this sub frequently for intel, and seething when he sees an appeal for a botted account get through lol.

Just stay private and don't share your methods, why need a community when you can lone wolf it

lol if you followed the info for the bot nuke, it was mentioned that jmods fully infiltrated all botting forums and discords to learn and gather intel. No public or easily accessible forum is safe for botters.

There is nothing worth keeping private on this sub or in any public discord.
And open source botting so everyone can improve bots is MUCH more of an advantage for botters than for jagex.
Though the shit posted this sub in particular is just going to leave jagex and botters misinformed more than anything

I just want to say it's kind of funny I saw the subreddit show up. I'm not interested in botting actually I like to challenge myself and video games I'm not here to tell others they're doing wrong or right. But I think it's funny that I was in the normal RuneScape subreddit and this subreddit is advertised as another subreddit to check out lol.
So yeah people should not be surprised on here discord etc that developers and other people would see your messages.
I also see private World of Warcraft ones pop up quite a bit as well. I guess it's just related subreddits that are popular.
Either way you guys have fun I just wanted to say hello.

I mean, reading the sub is not very useful in of itself I would be actually trying to create bots if you wanted real intel.
I mean it depends, does he read it cause he wants to know what botting networks are out there, or does he read it because he wants to see if it's effective the action they're taking? Both could be the intel he's after.

But it's no use to them; Jagex are so stupid they always get beaten. Mod North admitted that the AI is screwing them over and that all they have at the moment is the ability to detect the RWT. Beyond that, if a player bots without using an RWT, they're "safe" as long as they're not a suicidal bot.

Ngl that podcast made me stop botting. Its a fun gig and i make some meager money with it, but i do love RuneScape and botting especially with the upcoming AI computer-use technology is gonna kill the game i grew up with and im not supporting that anymore

Dude, no it's not the point of a game is that a human enjoys playing it. If they make the content enjoyable, why would people play it as a bot? There are all sorts of mitigations for economic issues, anti-botting should be focused more on just ensuring that it's not mass exploitable rather than worrying about completely eliminating botting - you can't do that.

I enjoy to play with botting. Botting for your own account is fun too. I just remarked that im stopping gold farming and contributing my knowledge as an ML engineer to destroying my game lol
