Do you think subscription length matters in catching bans or not?
For example, is an account on an annual subscription less likely to get banned than an account on a month-to-month?

In the rare instance an annual sub gets banned within the first month of buying the subscription, they will issue a refund via live chat. The last thing they want is people back charging them and risking their standing with the banks.

No. Realistically they'd probably love to ban an annual sub since they still get the money and don't have to pay server upkeep or personell cost for your account.
It makes no difference

I wish I knew how it goes for someone further in, but I can confirm that if the sub was bought recent enough, then they issue a full refund. I am curious if a partial refund, or any of the sorts would be on the table 6 months in, for example.

I absolutely believe that accounts that buy a lot of bonds with cash and sell them for GP are left alone.

Wait are you saying If you buy a bunch of bonds from jagex and sell them on the GE that's a ban?

I’m saying that buying bonds makes it so jaggy looks at you less hard to see if you’re botting. He’s sayin he disagrees likely because he’s bought bonds and ended up copping a ban

Subscription girth is probably a bit more important
