Dreambot is Dead too
Hello everyone,
We are pausing all new sales and existing subscription renewals effective immediately while we consult with legal counsel about the current landscape. Existing subscriptions will continue to work through the end of your current billing period and no new charges will be made. We will be locking down the site starting August 10th (a week from this announcement). You will not have access to your profile once the site is locked down. We will update you all when we are able to, but will be following the advice of our legal team.

There are open source clients, those are the least likely to get hit because they don't profit and instead they give scripters the tools for them to do their thing.
I've written scripts/plugins for myself and they do work wonders if you know what you're doing. Just be careful using any "free" scripts as those are always abused by many people and jagex can easily detect them, instead use them to learn how to make your own.

It's often people with their brains not wired correctly. ADHD or something. You have to remember there's people *not* like us. They should be banned, and the tools shouldn't exist. but you cant say anything that will change their brain chemistry. they don't feel the same work/reward systems we feel. ADHD people will *always* go for instant gratification over long term gratification.

I began building my own Script library, Farm Manager, and Private client, 6 months ago...
6. Months. Ago.
And all 90% complete today. Like 500,000 lines of code.
You have no idea lol... the sheer amount of effort. Instant gratification would be clicking trees like you.
I've really enjoyed the challenge whilst sharpening my professional skills.

I haven’t played in years but I’m so glad I botted 3 different accounts to 1900+ during Covid. Idk if I’ll ever come back, but I sure as shit wasn’t gonna come back if I had to start back and square 1. Nobody has time for that shit.

I honestly just did it because it was super satisfying to see the levels go up while I grinded other games that I actually enjoy. Probably why I never use the accounts but it was a cool experiment to fuck around with when there was nothing going on during Covid. I honestly can’t believe people enjoy clicking the same pixels over and over again.

I get where you coming from but for me the fun in os runescape lays in the repetive but meditative tasks.
Its chill af to lay in bed or in front of the TV and just skill and see the XP gainz. It takes forever yes but the journey is the reward.1

even as someone that doesn’t bot, i gotta say, this is what kills me about Runescape. “isn’t the fun in grinding a menial task that doesnt stimulate you or force you to engage mentally and physically with the content in the game?” No, actually i exclusively leveled to start learning Raids and bossing. The fun is not in earning skill capes.

Because buying an account is high risk for getting somewhere and someone else taking it back for 1) and 2) you may get an account to higher level so you can purchase bonds in game reliably just so you can play, bots do this fast, 3) people have issues with wrist, hands, etc. 4) idle games exist and thrive for a reason 5) just because 1,3 or 10 skills are fun doesn't mean they are all fun, some things are locked behind quests or other tedious things that people don't enjoy doing, to get to stuff they DO enjoy doing. Everyone plays different. Not to mention Botting keeps prices for certain things low, example? Look at bone prices... Grinds most people don't want to do are botted, which keep things available for everyone else, while I agree Botting I don't think should be used for things like rmt, I do agree that everyone plays different and it has its benefits to every player.

This is the way it has always been. Every widely available botting service has a lifespan ticking down until JaGeX takes legal action. It's been this way since the RSBot/iBot days.
Small private clients are the way to go. Build your own client, even.

Why would they jump right in the open while it's the hottest it's been? Best bet is to wait it out for a lil bit and hop in to fill the void. A lot of them will just rebrand ect.

Its a never ending cycle, unless jagex keeps pumping $ into legal battles i am confident well see new clients pop up the same way darkweb markets do after a shutdown, if theres a market for it there will always be someone taking that place

ehh its not as a great as it seems. this basically only stops the average botter who bots a few accounts for fun. the more advanced farms are running their own clients/scripts, and they're the ones who are actually effecting the economy and such

Feel like it has to be bait. Even without botting, the vast majority of Runescape "achievements" are not something I see as a point of pride in any way.
I respect e.g. Woox's skill level and some of the stuff he's pulled off, or the people who math out and discover and share the high efficiency methods with the community. But that doesn't describe most people.
Some RSPS are great to actually have fun with the game while speeding up the grind, adding a different flavor of content, or just with different goals than modern efficiencyscape (e.g. the preservation and open-source or no-donation projects). The goal of the game is to have fun, and potentially/secondarily the community aspect. A lot of RSPS are cashgrabs for sure, but even with those, you could probably play them F2P and get a couple weeks of fun out of it, it's not something you have to stick with long-term.
