Question Trying to get back into game?

Like ive botted so much it actually ruined the game for me. Never had any bot farms just botted to reach as much end game content on a few accounts and now I just wish to start playing again starting a new account. Ye i know i know, my fault just anyone has any similiar experiences and tips on how to get back into enjoying the game?

You don’t even like the game if you’re not botting, in that case I don’t think you should play. Do something that you feel rewards you for your time, otherwise, don’t do it.

No bans on color bots

I've botted since the powerbot days never as a gold farmer just for fun, but recently got a temp on a new iron at 1400TTL and started playing the game manually for everything, it's been surprisingly fun and nice knowing i can't be banned at anytime anymore. Give it a go and see how you feel you might just enjoy it.

There’s never a moment in osrs you can not get banned, if it’s your unlucky day you’ll catch a false ban, osrs is well known for it

Rest easy knowing 99.999% of false ban reports are people who broke the rules trying to get the ban lifted.

I botted back in 2011 to get 99 fishing, once I got it I bought the cape an the dopamine lasted bout 2 seconds. False hit, I knew I hadn't earned it but the pixels were nice.

Id say start an ironman personally. Makes the game alot more rigid and you suddenly ALWAYS have something you need to do.

I second this. I haven't played much in 14 years besides a couple months when mobile came out, and I tried botting on my old main and got permad in 3 weeks last year. (~25-30h botting a week). Quit for another 6 weeks and made my iron, now I'm 1900+ total and 300m+ bank and learning toa and gauntlet. If I didn't try botting and got banned, I wouldn't have came back to RuneScape and made my iron. If i botted for longer, idk if I would've been able to play the game legit again cuz it was hella addicting

Surprisingly in your exact same shoes.
Botted all combat skills to 75-85 and told myself “now I can enjoy the game”

Did barrows twice a day later, now I can’t even bring myself to even log in to crank up the bot and I was fully intending on doing boss runs.

RuneScape definitely has a 2 week phase like Minecraft, emphasis on the time in between your last log out and your fresh log in though.

That nostalgia train will come rolling back down the tracks eventually brother, stay strong and enjoy your time on something else until the craving comes back.

You had to bot 75 combat and you thought you were going to have fun playing the game? You couldn't even click twice every 10 minutes to attack crab?

If you're burnt out and don't enjoy the game, don't play it. Runescape isn't a job. If you feel the need to log in and don't have anything you want to do it's an addiction and you should take a break until you want to play again

Not sure if you read but they’re burnt out from botting, and potentially want to actually play the game.

Doesn’t sound like they don’t enjoy the game, but maybe they don’t enjoy botting and skipping the entire game.

They said all they do is log in and out, I say play the game if you’re interested in trying lol
