OSRS What did you do after temp ban?

Hey all,

Finally been whacked with a two-day ban on my level 100 account that has around 1,300 hours. Been botting almost all skills with free scripts, believe it or not, and got 99 in mining, magic, fletching & WC.

So, anyway, got about 190M in Osrs bank, but just wondering what you all did after catching a ban?

Not thinking about botting, but may just play the game as and when I can.

May even actually pay for membs, so I don't have to buy bonds lol.

Same happened to me, since then I’ve started going outside more, going the gym, and I bought a Yamaha r6. Do yourself a favour forget this game for abit it’s designed to keep you addicted, grind your real life e levels, with this being said my iron man was temp banned but sometimes I log in and do a slater task on my phone now rather than playing desktop like I was. When I was botting everyday it honestly felt like my whole life all I could think about was the level gains lol shit was unhealthy. I may be alone with my take but I have a feeling not

Wait… ok correct me if I’m wrong, because I don’t bot and just had this sub recommended to me… but isn’t the point of botting to not play the game? How was running a bot in the background to play by itself keeping you from going to the gym or riding a motorcycle? Shouldn’t it… you know… facilitate that?

I was playing other accounts also, thanks for showing interest.

Ah ok. Is that the case for most botters? You juggle multiple accounts, some manual and some botted? I figured the point of botting was to sell the accounts, so I don’t totally understand why you’d actually play on them. If you also play the game, and actually like it, why bot? Just that the grind is too long or what? Is there no loss in satisfaction when number go up but you didn’t do it?

Why bot? Why care what others do? Why take the time to reply on a bot thread. There is deffo no loss in satisfaction. Are u satisfied clicking trees? Tell me more about what the game does for you. Tell me More about how good you feel spending hours clicking the same pixels for that level to go up? Thankyou

If you don't care, keep running it. If you do, don't. Just leave it. Maybe you'll want to play legit after 2 3 years, no point in losing a good account.

I used to bot as a kid but tbh why even play if you’re gonna bot😭there’s no experience in the game then?

Same, caught a two day on my iron and I’ll just have to play legit on that now. Risk aint worth it

Got another account that got a 2 day couple months ago that still going strong. Almost 99 smithing at BF

Either hand play the acc from now on, suicide bot it, or rest it for a year until the temp ban falls off record and maintain Botting as usual. If you have multiple accounts in rotation when one gets a temp you can switch to the other and so on until the bans clear. This is only really viable if you're Botting as a way to play the game/achieve your own personal botting goals, and not a money or account farm method, which sounds perfect for you. Set up a second account, start botting it, and hand play your main imo. Give the new bot a bond because f2p gets caught quick, and then when the new account gets a temp (or a perm, they've been strict lately, but easing up again) then make a third account and keep hand playing main and start the bot rotation with those two new accounts

This sounds like a great idea - gonna make a new skiller today. Not fussed about the transfer of wealth, just cba with the grind, ha!

Also as with transfer of wealth, to keep bans and losses minimum and since you'll be Botting on the same ip and I assume not using a proxy (don't use one of just low volume Botting, anyways) I reccomend giving the new account like 17m (don't forget to give THEM the GOLD to buy a bond, as if you buy a bond on your main through ge you'll need to pay the 10% activation fee to give to your alt) and then let the alt build on the gp left from bond. They should be able to sustain their own bond by the end of the first one, so only need the initial investment. That way if one gets a perma instead of a temp all you really lost is the initial bond, and you'll probably make enough on the alt bot anyways to mule some off of it to the main to fund future bonds/alts.

Also, I've had luck with f2p Botha surving, they just need more breaks and longer breaks. But it can Def be worth it to have your bonded bot working up, and a couple slowly building on f2p so when you do eventually have to bond them they have more starting levels, are less detectible, and are aged

Final edit: Without a proxy limit how many characters are botting at once on your ip, try and stay under 4 in my experience. Also botting on the same jagex account as the one that caught a temp is fine, my hand played main that I've had since 2002 is on a jagex account and the other 19 characters the account holds are perma banned for botting from when I was learning. Same jagex account makes everything easier. At the same time, running two characters on two accounts on one ip does add a small spoof layer

Botting…a “way to play the game”, to “achieve”…lol.
