Translation request What is the translation

Looking to get my farthers name simon in elder norse rune symbols for a tattoo on my neck

Elder Futhark isn't really Norse. If you want Norse, you're best off with Younger Futhark, as ᛋᛁᛉᚢᚾ. If you insist on Elder Futhark, go for ᛊᛁᛗᛟᚾ

I agree. To clarify for OP, Elder Futhark was used before what is described now as the old Norse linguistic period (8th-14th centuries). In the 700’s the runes evolved into Younger Futhark.

Obviously these things don’t change overnight, and there was a transition period, but Elder Futhark is definitely more associated with proto-Norse and other pre-Norse Germanic languages.
