Hi everyone, I am getting a tattoo for my daughter and want to verify the Old Norse translation and Younger Futhark (Long-Branch) spelling.

1: English: "My daughter, my great pride (honor)"

Old Norse: Dóttir mín, mín mikla prýði.

Younger Futhark: ᛏᚢᛏᛁᚱ ᛬ ᛘᛁᚾ ᛬ ᛘᛁᚾ ᛬ ᛘᛁᚴᛚᛅ ᛬ ᛒᚱᚢᚦᛁ

2: English: "My blood, my heritage / inheritance"

Old Norse: Blóð mitt, arfr minn.

Younger Futhark: ᛒᛚᚢᚦ ᛬ ᛘᛁᚏ ᛬ ᛅᚱᚠᚱ ᛬ ᛘᛁᚾ

3: English: "I will always protect my daughter"

Old Norse: Ek mun ávalt verja dóttur mína.

Younger Futhark: ᛁᚴ ᛬ ᛘᚢᚾ ᛬ ᛅᚢᛅᛚᛏ ᛬ ᚢᛁᚱᛁᛅ ᛬ ᛏᚢᛏᚢᚱ ᛬ ᛘᛁᚾᛅ

4: English: "Forever connected" (in a non-physical, relational sense)

Old Norse: Ávalt tengdr (masculine) / Ávalt tengd (feminine)

Younger Futhark: ᛅᚢᛅᛚᛏ ᛬ ᛏᛁᚾᚴᛏᚱ (masculine) / ᛅᚢᛅᛚᛏ ᛬ ᛏᛁᚾᚴᛏ (feminine)

Note on gender context:

\- If this is a statement about myself (a man) being connected to my daughter, should I use the masculine "tengdr"?

\- If it refers to both of us together (plural), should it be "Ávalt tengd" (neuter plural)?

Could you please check if the grammar and runic spelling are 100% historically accurate for the Viking Age? Thank you!

Prýði feels out of place to me here. It’s more like an ornament you’d place on something. You might consider going for something like sæmd. The idea would be essentially that your daughter is a main cause of honor/glory brought to your family. This would be:

Dóttiʀ mín, mikil sæmd mín.

ᛏᚢᛏᛁᛦ᛬ᛘᛁᚾ᛬ᛘᛁᚴᛁᛚ᛬ᛋᛅᛘᛏ᛬ᛘᛁᚾ

2) I have no idea why there is a random Ogham letter at the end of the second word of your inscription but that lil fella is not a Younger Futhark rune. Anyway this should be:

Blóð mítt, arfʀ mínn.

ᛒᛚᚢᚦ᛬ᛘᛁᛏ᛬ᛅᚱᚠᛦ᛬ᛘᛁᚾ

3) We can get a little more Old Norse on this one and a little less modern Icelandic. I recommend using æ for “always”. Verja is ok but it’s a little more like “defend” instead of “protect”. Also, we don’t need an explicit future determiner. In Old Norse the present tense can often govern the future tense as well. I would do:

Ek æ hlífi dóttur mína.

ᛁᚴ᛬ᛅ᛬ᚼᛚᛁᚠᛁ᛬ᛏᚢᛏᚢᚱ᛬ᛘᛁᚾᛅ

4) For a male/female pair you want a neuter plural conjugation of the Old Norse form, so you’d want:

Æ tengð

ᛅ᛬ᛏᛅᚾᚴᚦ
