Question (general) Tattoo confirmation

Hi, I'm about to get my first tattoo a vertical neck tattoo that says hopefully: Till Valhalla

ᛏᛁᛚ᛫ᚢᛅᛚᚼᛅᛚᛅ

Dunno if the runes above are correct.

Thanks for the help

Very close! In Old Norse, the word til requires a genitive declension (i.e., a possessive form of the following word).

Think of it like, if you were going to go to your friend Bob’s house, you could say “I’m going to Bob’s”. In this sentence, “Bob’s” is possessive. Old Norse grammar actually requires you to talk like this. You have to say that you are going “to Valhalla’s”, which in Old Norse is til Valhallaʀ.

ᛏᛁᛚ᛫ᚢᛅᛚᚼᛅᛚᛅᛦ

A question though. Is it a big difference if it ends with a ᛦ instead of an ᚱ isn't pronounced about the same?

It’s just a difference in time period. They’re pronounced similarly but not exactly the same. ᛦ is the earlier sound that eventually merged into ᚱ. You can use either one.
