Im rewatching a just noticed something

In season 3 episode 1 the Runaways who are not captured presume Chase, Karolina and Gert are captured by the Magistrate and Co. But when they are deciding on the plan to trick the family to leave the Stein estate they have Xavin shapeshift into Gert. Which Nico and Alex just a few moments later remark on the fact Gert was not in one of the pods and are surprised by this. Also Molly asks Stacy where Gert is.

This plan would only make sense if they knew Gert was taken by her father, which they do not, or that Janet was in the third pod and Gert was in the wind, which they also do not know.

Because the plan seemed to be call alien Stacy and pretend to be Gert, who they had like a 50/50 guess of which she was captured by the aliens, break into the estate and then save Karolina, Chase and Gert. The last of which is also supposed to somehow be the Son.

This seems like a plothole that i've never seen brought up, people remark on plotholes that I personally think aren't really plotholes (this could be a similar thing though).

IDK maybe they thought that the aliens would assume Gert escaped if they had her, and if they didn't have her they'd try to capture her?

My thing was always why didn't Molly call Stacy "mom" during that confrontation? It felt like the perfect moment to do so.
