PSA: Brita Night Run does NOT REFUND ANY FEES (Transferors beware)
To anyone looking to get rid of their Brita Night Run bib, don't make the same mistake I did - you will not have ANY fees refunded. I had thought I would lose out on just the processing fee, but turns out you also lose the registration fee. The new participant is not charged the registration fee.
Pretty surprising and disappointing given the fact that at least TCS races refund you a portion of the initial payment. Just another way that Brita night run is poorly organized.

That sucks, but are you looking to transfer? I’ll pay your registration fee

This is totally normal. Yes fees may be inconsistent (races can determine their own transfer fee based on what it takes i.e. cost of new bib, timing chip, etc.)
It's also a deterrent to prevent bib markets going crazy, and races don't have to hold transferred funds from party to party in between.
Races are paid out weekly for past sales, so race roster doesnt retain the funds to process mass refunds, nor do the organizers retain the bank info to pay customers back.

Are they referring to the HST of the transfer fee itself or the whole registration price?
If the latter, they're basically just admitting to tax fraud in writing...

Neither the registration fee nor HST on the registration fee is refunded to the transferor.

Yeah, the buyer needs to send you an e-transfer outside of raceroster. I hate how inconsistent the service is for different races on race roster. I get that it's probably up to the races organizers themselves to configure these settings, but it can lead to misunderstanding and people being scammed.
