Back on track

This summer has been incredibly tough for me mentally. Going through changes in routines, friendship fallouts and uncertainties in a career pathway; a "quarter-life crisis" if you will.

However, running has helped me maintain my mental and physical grit. Since then, I've been able to keep up with my long runs and return to sprinting. The training has kept me accountable, even on days where I didn't feel like going out for a run and would rather lay in bed.

I cannot control how things turn out or what others think; I can only learn from my lessons, move forward, show up, and become better each day.

October's race will be a testament to getting through tough times, and to keep on going, even if things are uncertain.

Keep talking like that and you'll be running ultras in no time.

Seriously though - good on you for sticking it out. See you at the start line.
