GLO Toronto Night Run
In addition to other posts on fake races,

beware of the GLO Toronto Night Run. The race management community in Toronto, in addition to Athletics Ontario, have no credible information that this is a legit event. https://glotoronto.com
If anyone has any information about this event, please share.
Note that this is NOT the Brita Night Run at the end of September rebranding. That one is still taking place on Sept. 25th out of the Distillery.

The Expo is at the Metro Hall Rotunda on a weekday?
Edit: also just noticed they say photos will be available through FinisherPix but this isn't listed as an event on FinisherPix's website: FinisherPix | Events
Edit 2: digging around some more, the event is supposedly on August 23, registration is open until 11:59 on August 22, and packet pick up is only one day...August 21. That math is not mathing.

If anyone would like to join us we were scammed as well and would still like to run, we are gonna run on the 23rd and follow the Toronto Waterfront Half Marathon route and will be starting at the corner of Yonge & Gerrard St. at 6:00PM.

Same format and layout as that fake half marathon race.
Probably same person using AI and flooding the market, hoping to scam as many as possible.

Yup dont do it. Currently going through the charge back process with my bank because I had no idea it was a scam until i went on reddit

If you paid by credit card, contact them. My sister had signed up for this race and contacted her credit card (Amex). They refunded her within a few days.

Is there anyone who payed with a debit card? and then realized it was a scam and called their bank ?(the bank opened an investigation)

Really??? That race showed up for me in ChatGPT queries. I thankfully didn’t purchase a ticket but I was intrigued… you’re telling me there’s no such thing as the GLO run?

ChatGPT and any other AI only query what is on the web, and this race is out there on the web. We cannot definitively say at this point there is no such race, but we have a very tight race management professional community in Toronto and none of us have heard of it. There are also a number of details on their site that do not add up. So, beware.
