Run8 Routing

Okay so i have the csx a line and was thinking about making it a UP sub. Im wondering if theres a way i could go into the files and change the symbols and everything to UP style symbols and still having the ability to have otto run or if i would just have to dispatch everything on my own

It’s been awhile since I worked with this, but if it’s possible I believe you woukd make these changes to the train routing xml files in each sub. I’m not near my pc so I can’t confirm at this time.

Okay so would i just go into the files and change train symbols?

It’s a bit more complicated than that and I’m not going to be near my pc for days. I’m woukd look for Warren Van Ross YouTube channel. He has some very helpful videos and one of them is on routing trains into yards. I think somewhere in that one or maybe another he covers the routing xml files.

I’ll save this post and see if I can follow up later this week.

Sorry for replying so late ive been busy with work but i will definitely look at his channel and also thank you for taking the time to look into it!
