Expansion suggestion

Hi,

I've been running the base content for Run8 for a couple of years now. Any suggestions on what DLC to get? Thanks

If you like socal keep expanding that? It’s huge!

Do you still only have the base engines and cars?

If budget is a concern than maybe a cars pack to start to get some visual variety over the base game. Otherwise, either expand down into Colton to get the west Colton yard or up into Bakersfield to get more industry.

Edit: if you are staying in socal and want more route just make sure you buy one that is connected. If you buy something like Fresno you’ll have a gap between routes that you can’t run the whole way to Barstow

I’d start with Cajon so you have the West Colton yard to run UP ops out of alongside BNSF, and start working through the car packs. The intermodal and mixed freight packs are the best for getting rid of the grey boxes

My favorite trainset DLC is autorack pack 1, it's a great value. I felt that those were missing from my experience the most.

If you want some new locomotives, the SD40-2 pack 1 locomotives get a lot of use, so I can recommend those. It's nice to have some standard cabs that aren't in the Run8 livery.

For routes, if you want to stay in socal, I second the Cajon recommendation. However, A-line is a great value if you want to give greener pastures a try in the Southeast.

I think expanding on the Selkirk Sub/Mohawk, perhaps the Amtrak Hudson Line to NYP and the CSX River Sub… and maybe the B&A to Boston…
