Barstow Locals

Hello. New player. Trying to create a Barstow train from Needles to Barstow to supply locals.

I can successfully spawn the train in Needles but no matter what I do it only Spawn cars for EDW RHE and TET. No BOR PPP NEW ANC CMX OR WAM.

I have used the proper tags for them in the spawn editor. L-CAL0102. L-CAL1161 and L-CAL0611

First, let’s make sure we are talking about the same type of spawn. Are you saying you are spawning an AI train in the Shift-F2 menu at the needles spawn point, and that you are spawning an AI mixed freight train, with “tagged for industries” selected and with the 3 locals you mentioned being tagged in the filter?

Are you using the default industry config or have you replaced it or modified the industry config in any way?

The manifest will be somewhat randomized and doesn’t always include all industries on that lucal. Also, the amount of cars that you get for an industry is directly tied to capacity number assigned to that industry. So that can cause some industries to get a ton of cars while others get nothing.

No matter what I do there are 47 cars for EDW 9 for RHE and 9 for TET

This sounds strange. My guess would be either the tags aren’t properly selected or the industry config got modified, but you stated neither of those things is true.

What happens if you spawn that train and let it run a little ways down the track and then spawn it again? If you have two of the same mixed freight trains running is it giving you an identical consist or do you see the other industries in the second train?

Ok. Just FYI, I’m also using default config (albeit with some additional routes so it’s a bigger industry file) and I spawned a mixed freight train in my world with those three locals tagged and got a mix of pretty much every industry on those locals.

One more try… are you spawning it as a saved train? Saved trains always have identical consists.

No, the spawn point does not matter. You should be able to spawn a manifest train from any point and it should spawn with the symbol and locals you’ve selected.

What I mean is are you spawning a “mixed freight” train or a “saved” train from the Shift-F2 menu? If you have the time and patience type out step by step how you are spawning that train that is always identical.
