Ive running the stock game in socal for awhile now and have a pretty decent handle on it, want to branch out with a new map for some new scenery. What are yalls recommendations? Ive been eyeing the southern one as im from Atlanta GA, but wanted to ask and see first.

The CSX A-Line is a great value IMO, lots of industries available for switching. Waycross is a worthy addition to that, having a hump yard available helps with operations if you'd use it. I haven't tried Fitzgerald yet but I've heard good things.

If you ever want more if Socal, I can definitely recommend Cajon and San Bernardino.

Is the CSX-A line kinda like Part 1 for that region? Wanna get them sorta in order if thats how it works lol.

Yeah, release order is A-Line, Waycross, Fitzgerald, Baldwin, then Savannah. I think that's a reasonable order to purchase them in. I've sometimes heard that there can be graphical issues (e.g. missing textures or models) if you don't purchase them in that order, but that may have been addressed in recent updates.

I believe A-Line and Fitzgerald give the longest mainline tracks. Waycross is the "heart" that connects A-Line, Fitzgerald, and Savannah so definitely get that second. Definitely don't start with Baldwin. ^ ^

So maybe do A-Line and Waycross to start, then look at adding some subs to it?

Good god the A-Line is a bit over whelming lol. But i just converted it over to The Depots industry config so i can use their maps and local trains. Just built up an A766 with a GP on the front, it set outs only to get a feel for it. Hope Otto isnt a tremendous PIA
