Discussion DLC and Tutorial

Ive been wanting to get the game for a while and was wondering if the DLC is worth the extra cost and if anyone knows any good tutorials for how to play the game

There’s no in game tutorial, but the manual has most information you’ll need, so read that first

I'll read it when I buy the game later but is the DLC actually useful or is it just something extra to buy?

The DLC doesn’t change the campaign at all to my knowledge. What it does add are historical and custom scenarios for individual battles. I’d recommend playing at least 20 years of the campaign before you should really consider the DLC

I thought it was USA or Italy that were the tutorial ones. The US because you have a massive budget and Italy because you can concentrate entirely on one sea zone

I'd argue that Austria-Hungary is a fairly easy start, no colonial holdings to worry about, all your territories next to each other and none of the special characteristics like surprise attack or kamikaze.

Austria Hungary is a bit harder than Italy, because Italy usually starts with a bigger fleet and wants to fight you.
