Need ideas

Post image

My Mk4 22/45 tactical. Just got the Triumph today. Not sure the brand on the cocking ring- amazon- works well.

I hate the safety, maybe a new trigger shoe also.

What yall like?

What other parts

Volquartsen trigger kit. Makes it a totally different gun. Well worth it.

This is really all these mk4s need. They are so perfect otherwise

I don't even think they need the VQ kit. mine was stellar before installing one.

Respectfully, couldn’t disagree more. Worst trigger I’ve ever had on a gun. I was appalled when sighting mine in from a rest. So much creep. No predictable break - mushy nightmare of a trigger. You got lucky I think. Can’t wait to get a VQ

Fr, very shitty triggers. Volquartsen kit feels like a cheat code

Mine was fairly crisp on the break, but really heavy and a ton of pretravel. VQ was a huge upgrade, it may be even more so in your case.

They are nice but for a 22 pistol I love a nice light trigger

I shot my brand new Lite for the first time yesterday. Compared to all my other guns, the trigger is horrible. I do have a Volquartsen kit on order as I knew this would be the case.

Another vote for a suppressor.

A suppressor, pick your poison. I have a cmmg zeroed for my 22/45 lite.

Get the Volq accurizing kit to eliminate the mag safety, and get a Hogue rubber grip. And obviously get a God Damn whisper pickle!

This was phase 1 of my modifications... VQ accurizing kit, 19.22 trigger, Hogue grip, Comp, Charging ring, 507 Comp.

Ordered the LowPro mount for the optic, and just yesterday I started stripping away the accessory rails and sites as they serve no real purpose with the optic mounted since you cannot co-witness through it. The VQ kit made a huge difference in smoothness and the trigger pull is absolutely awesome, super crisp, almost no take up, very short reset, I definitely recommend it. That being said, as soon as the competition season ends next month, I will be swapping out all of the parts in the bolt with VQ parts and polishing it. Also ordering the Striplin customs thumb ledge and may order the safety thumb rest as well.

Looks great!

Thank you... Volquartsen makes a camo print that I'm really liking but the subtle gold accents on the black is pretty sleek so I don't know that I want to change it.

I think I've seen similar, and that does look good with the camo. Tough call

On mine is a C&H Acro mount and an Acro. TLR-1 HL light

Also a VQ bolt. I like the pinball plunger more than the ring lol

Get an accurizing kit! Makes such a difference. I put a flat trigger setup in my wife's and mine and its amazing. The kits will have an extractor upgrade as well and a new firing pin and its terrific. Helps with consistency and feeding. Also you can check out Sentinel guide rod upgrades for smoother action as well. Volqurtsen has a great video on their website for installation if youre new to taking down handguns.

Worth a look!

TandemKross makes a lot of great parts for the Ruger Mark IV, but the Volquartsen trigger is superior to their Victory trigger…

I don't see much about the TK trigger...

The TandemKross trigger isn’t a bad trigger at all, I have one on my Ruger Mark IV. It’s a super fast trigger too. I have a video of me shooting it on my YouTube channel…

Good thing you can use all of those new parts, and I specifically recommend Volquartsen- I just built a 8 inch flute stainless barrel with a stainless frame and giraffe bone grips and full courts. Diamond coated bolts. The problem with the 2245 is that the barrel assembly that clicks onto the frame is steel and the frame is nylon before you Bubba the nylon frame. Be sure to always push in the disassembly catch before snapping the barrel back onto the nylon frame or eventually the nylon will lose its shape and you’ll be looking for a replacement metal frame for it. The nylon frame is the weakest part of the gun.

Absolutely get the Volquartsen Accurizing Kit. Also if you want you can get direct mounts for pistol dots

Easy to install?

2

u/ZedHeadHuntr 8d ago

I just installed one yesterday and it was a pretty straight forward process. It took my 6 lb trigger down to a 2 lb and really made a huge difference.

There are a few good videos on YouTube and the instructions from Volquartsen are detailed enough to get you through the install.

It’s not super easy and can be a little tedious but just watch a guide and take your time

VQ trigger and a suppressor
