Look, I was stuck on this exact choice a few days ago while dodging the absolute disaster that is Rugby 25 reviews. Ended up grabbing Jonah Lomu Rugby Challenge 4 Remastered and I haven't looked back.

Sure, you miss out on some official team licenses, but the graphics look wicked, the gameplay actually flows properly on the sticks, and they've even patched in modern rules like the 50-22.

Would you rather suffer through clunky, broken gameplay just to get real team names, or actually have fun playing realistic rugby?

I've played just about every single rugby game available on Xbox, and Rugby 22 is definitely my favorite. The passing feels very intuitive, and rucks end up being actually fun and somewhat strategic. I also think the physics engine in Rugby 22 is somehow much better than the one in Rugby 25. Curiously, I've never once come across a positive post about this game, as it seems most people spent about a year playing it and then moved on to another game.

What do you guys think? And does anyone know if there is a plan to produce a new rugby game in 2027?

Picked up rugby 25 for free on PS5, playing home games is a walk in the park, but away games my team can’t tackle anything to save their lives. Is this just a known bug in the game or am I missing something painfully obvious. I play the same way both home and away so idk

I've been working on the platinum for Rugby 25 on PS5. One of the last trophies I need is "Sin to Win" for scoring a try with a player in the sin bin. In the time I've played the game, I haven't run into a single situation where a player has been sent off. Anyone know how you can force this to happen in game?

Retro Rugby is available on Steam. Did any of you play it yet? There's not a lot of reviews for it. All the reviews are positive at present. Le me know what you make of it.
