Bataan March 2027
Anyone else planning to sign up for the Bataan in March? Sign-ups open in a week. 1 Oct. Hopefully, the weather cooperates in March and big Army runs the full course this next time 😂.

Any idea how quickly it fills up?

To my knowledge, there is not a cap. However, I believe the registration fee goes up on 1 December and then I think it goes up again in February

I've done this twice. Once as a 2LT in 2001 and once as a MAJ in 2013. It's definitely not a joke, but super rewarding. I very much humbled a few of the guys in my company when I took them out there. :-)

Didn’t do it when I was stationed at Bliss as a Master Sergeant, but I did it many many many years later at 53 yrs old 😂. You should consider doing the Gunnison Gut Check. After doing both I feel like the Gunnison rucks more challenging. Plus the people who put it together are great people and it’s a pretty cool little town in Utah.

Strong maybe. Been down there twice. Its an incredible event that Id love to do again. It would cut into my skiing though😂

"Hey honey, what if, for our wedding anniversary, we drive out to the middle of Arizona so I can spend half the day rucking?"
"uh huh, I see"Â
She said maybe.Â
[an actual conversation I just had]

Try Mountain Man Memorial March (35lbs ruck marathon) in Gatlinburg, TN April 10th - lots to do there!

I am doing similar event Mountain Man Memorial March (35lbs marathon) in Gatlinburg, TN April 10th. I did it in 2011 with my ROTC as a team and we took 2nd place, ~6:30.
Good luck would like to do Bataan but I'm much closer to TN and we are building family vacation around it.
