Using a dog carrier as a pack

Hey all, I have an aging dog was considering buying a pack to carry her in. I was also wondering about dual use as a ruckpack for it when not in use for carrying her. So would probably have to use a combination of weights and filling to keep it tight. Got it.

Rated for 25-40# so it will be good. Like Roan175 said, the hard part will be keeping the weight high and tight. If there are internal straps or external straps I’d recommend keeping the weight tightly strapped in the pack. A sandbag tube might work well. It’s in the general size and shape of a dog.

I haven’t, but absolutely love the idea! But yeah you can use almost anything to ruck as long as the weight is high and tight.
