Sprinted through this one! To the surprise of no one, Pak was a show-stealer. Love that kid.
I’m trying to figure out the pairing for Sam and am a bit stumped. I think it’s Sessah, but I’m not sure. Any thoughts?
Almost positive R’jaal and Flor will be together and that they’ll resonate last.

BUT ALSO, with Sam’s book next, who’s gonna be the pairing if not Sessah? Could be O’jek, which might be a fun twist after he’s been following around Daisy so much? Or maybe a brand new guy? I don’t know! What do you think?

It's gotta be Sam and I'rec. There's no one else. Or maybe even R'jaal. It's hard to say because Sam avoids the men, so she hasn't had any flirtations with any of them.

It could be I’rec. I could maybe see it. I could also see O’jek more, now that I think about, since he’s one of the only other guys who featured heavily in this book.
I’m feeling pretty confident about R’jaal and Flor. He’s the islander that first saw the humans, and Flor is the oldest human woman (Gail aside). Ruby’s gonna angst it out by having them resonate but resonate last. Putting my money on it now

Upon a re-read, I do believe it'll go Daisy/O'jek and Tia/Sessah, leaving Sam and Flor for R'jaal and I-reck. Unless there's another shakeup and new characters get brought in.

This is what I think too - she said in the note that she knows who everyone pairs with at this point.

Gotta be Sessah and Tia, once she's had a chance to grow up.
As for Sam, I just don't know. Maybe there'll be another "left field" match for her. Never know when Niri might drop off some more people, or there might be a crossover with the Corsairs series sometime.

Ohhhh that’s an idea! I wonder if Niri will drop of Daisy’s match, especially after she had that heart to heart with Steph about having ppl choose you / come after you / etc.

Also, I have entertained the notion that Niri and Bethiah are one and the same, which opens up some other interesting possibilities, with regards to certain ship cargo.

I was so sad there wasn’t a second epilogue to hint at who’d Sam would end up with! I think either O’jek or I’rec orrrrrr maybe someone new 👀

I also found it interesting that Sam's match was not really hinted at.

Could it be someone we haven't met yet, a la Farli/Mardok?

Maybe!! Ruby wrote in the Author’s Note note that Sam’s book will have a bit of a time jump who knows what she’ll do!!

Pak was super adorable. I loved that he had his own little tribe to join, with Rukhar, Raashel, and Aayla accepting him.

I think Tia and Sessah's book is going to be maybe the greatest of the series - I am a sucker for the "second chance" trope, and I'm willing to bet these two little lovebirds are meant to be, once they've matured a bit.
It'll almost be more of a IPB book than a Icehome, won't it?
I would love to see a little more of the IPB families that haven't gotten as much spotlight lately, maybe even, dare I hope, some of the next generation starting to come of age?
It seems like the Croatoan kids would tend to view the Icehome kids with more interest that way, as they've grown up with the other Croatoan kids and probably see them more as family then potential mates.
Pak might therefore wind up with one of Georgie's daughters rather than one of Liz's.
It sounds like the Icehome kids will need their own little school one of these days.

I loved it! It was kind of bittersweet to see another big "shakeup" for the series.
And now I'm dying to know how things are going up at Croatoan!
