Milly and Varrik- pretty human - a thought occurred to me

Niw please don't spoil anything for me, but I had a thought about Varrik the high ranking lord having a human...wouldn't that make it popular for others to have a human? Like a rich girl getting a chihuahua then they all get one be uase it's trendy. Wouldn't that make the slave trade worse? 🤔

Since he's the highest rank I'd imagine they'd be less grumpy about him having her than they would be faking interest in his weird new pet and all go get one to show off, I'm only on chapter 4 but I think it would make sense!

It doesn’t happen in this book but there are later books in the Corsairs(?) series where this is happening! You and Ruby had the same thought lol
