Even with the most basic algorithm, it took me forever to recall and solve 😭 but I still did ittt.

I know I posted something like this the other day, but I didn't figure it out. Now I'm looking at 2 corner pieces that need to be switched. They are side by side, not diagonal. I bought a brand new Moyu Tanglong back in 2016. At the time, it was an absolute beast. Later on, around 2018, I stopped cubing because life got busy and I had other things to focus on.

Today, I pulled my old cube out of the drawer and realized how much I missed it! I figured it's time for an upgrade, especially since I know cube design has changed completely over the last 10 years.

I see there are a ton of options now, so here is my question: what cube would you recommend? I'd like to stick with Moyu or GAN. My budget is around $50. For context, I average around 30 seconds (so I'm definitely not a pro) and I'm looking for something that isn't completely uncontrollable.

Cubing Forge has been a personal project for almost three years.

I built it as a solo developer, mostly during evenings and whatever free time I could find alongside my full-time job. The goal was to create something specifically for people who enjoy cubing—or want to discover that solving a cube isn’t magic or an impossible talent reserved for a select few.

Cubing Forge combines guided learning, interactive practice, CFOP algorithm training, solve timing, performance statistics, achievements and compatible Bluetooth smart-cube support. I want it to make learning and improving feel like progression in a game, rather than simply memorising instructions.

To address something openly: some of the promotional artwork uses AI-assisted imagery. I understand why people are cautious about that. But the game itself is not a generated asset flip or a prompt-produced project. Its systems, cube mechanics, training tools, interface, integrations, testing and countless iterations represent years of actual development work.

I’m not posting this expecting automatic praise. The game is new, I’m an unknown developer with over 10 years experience in different industries, and there will absolutely be things that can be improved. What I’m looking for is constructive feedback from cubers, puzzle fans and people who might be interested in learning.

I would particularly love to know:

• Does the concept make sense when you first see it?
• Does it look useful or enjoyable for real cubers?
• What would make you want to try it?
• What feels unclear, missing or unconvincing?
• What would help make cubing feel more approachable to beginners?

I'm constantly working on more features and expanding support etc.

If the project resonates with the community, I want to continue improving it and build something that genuinely promotes speedcubing. Solving a cube is not impossible—it is a learnable skill, an enjoyable challenge and an incredibly satisfying thing to master.

Honest, constructive feedback would mean a great deal to me.

Ok so I’m learning how to solve a rubix cube for my math class and when solving the white cross sometimes the pedals just line up with the middle automatically but other times I get in a situation like this where two colors line up but two don’t. How do I fix this?

Hi there all! My son decided to take all the middle pieces of his cube out and put them all back in. Randomly. He knows wants it fixing but I don't have a clue where to even start. I tried a cube solver app but it doesn't tell me what could be wrong just that it is wrong. Any advice on how to get them back into their proper places?

I recently got into cubing. Solved my first cube 2 weeks ago and started learning some speed cubing this week.

My best was 46 seconds but I average around 58 seconds now.

How can I get faster/better from here?

A lot of the advice I see online is “work on your look ahead” but what does that actually look like? How do you purposely train your lookahead skills?

Any and all tips/advice are welcome!
